Auburn University and will be responsible
for managing, planning, organizing and
implementing fund-raising activities of the
Development unit for the College of Business.
Responsibilities will also include updating and informing supervisors and
other sta; of goal status, new plans, and project proposals, and ensures
that a cooperative team e;ort is made to meet goals and objectives;
identifying potential prospects for cultivations through research, initial
contact ratings, peer reviews, development o;cers, and other relevant
resources and conducting follow-up actions; soliciting gi;s and/or club
memberships through person-to-person visits, group presentations, and/
or phone contacts; providing stewardship to include acknowledging
and showing gratitude for donating/joining clubs either by le;er, phone
call, and/or participating in/a;ending events and functions for donors;
developing campaigns and/or presentation proposals related to funding
priorities in order to keep top prospects informed, interested, and
involved and to meet development goals and objectives; producing or
assisting in production of marketing materials to support development
e;orts; securing an appropriate level of private support in relationship to
campaign goals.
;e minimum quali;cations are a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications,
Public Relations or a related ;eld with seven years experience in fund
raising, marketing and/or public relations. Employer will consider
advance degrees in lieu of experience. Knowledge of Internal Revenue
Service (IRS) gi; regulations, fund raising techniques and strategies, and
accounting and budgeting principles and practices is required. Ability
to plan and implement fund raising programs and marketing strategies
is required. Candidates should have supervisory work experience that
required them to train, evaluate, and recommend pay, promotion or other
employment decisions. Extensive travel is required.
Desired experience includes progressively responsible work-related
experience in the areas of business development, alumni and public
relations at a university or other comparable organization. Ability
to organize meetings and events, experience in public speaking, and
leadership development are also important and desired skills. Salary will
be commensurate with education and experience.

Director of Development
Church of St. Ignatius Loyola Parish –

St. Ignatius Loyola Parish, one of the largest Catholic Parishes in
the Archdiocese of New York, seeks a Director of Development.
The candidate should be Roman Catholic with a dedicated
commitment to a faith-based stewardship approach to raising
funds. The director will also be responsible for assisting the
Pastor in implementing a stewardship program at St. Ignatius
Loyola Parish. The candidate should have a minimum of five
years’ experience in fund raising, with a special emphasis on
stewardship programs, or a transferable skill which can be applied
to stewardship education and implementation.
This is a full-time position. The director is to have no outside activity
in fund raising other than as a volunteer, which is encouraged.
