Westminster College is seeking
an experienced Director of the
Westminster Fund to join its
successful team of advancement
professionals. The Director will be
responsible for overseeing The Westminster Fund, a highly effective
annual giving program, and directing its continued growth. The Director
will play an integral leadership role in Westminster’s comprehensive
campaign.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the Director will be
responsible for annual giving strategies and programs that include the
identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of annual gifts
from all constituents including personal solicitations, direct mail and
telemarketing in order to increase participation and support for student
scholarships and academic programs. The Director works closely with
the Annual Giving Committee of the Alumni Council to plan and
direct alumni peer-to-peer solicitations.
Position requirements include a bachelor’s degree and three to five years
of demonstrated, effective annual giving experience. Knowledge of the
principals and practices associated with higher education fundraising
and donor/prospect information management is important; strong
analytical, computer and reporting skills are critical.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent
written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, bringing
enthusiasm, commitment and energy to this exciting advancement
opportunity. The Director will manage a prospect portfolio for personal
solicitation. Travel is required.
