The Vice President leads a staff of 14 encompassing alumni, development, marketing and communications, and

campaign's progress saw a significant increase in annual, major and planned giving, as well as notable improvements
in the College's marketing and communication efforts and the enlargement and further professionalization of the
advancement staff.

The Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)
seeks a full-time Director of Development to work collaboratively with
the president, senior staff members, and board of directors to develop,
implement, and execute the Association’s fundraising and advancement
priorities. The Director of Development is responsible for leading key
fundraising initiatives, including major and planned gifts, individual
giving, and sponsorships, and for coordinating corporate outreach and
programmatic fundraising. The Director serves as a key member of
the leadership team at AAC&U and represents the Association and its
commitment to the value of liberal education to a variety of audiences
and constituencies.
With a student/faculty ration of 11 to 1, the College maintains 20 academic departments and offers 39 majors and
combined degree programs (in cooperation with Washington University and other institutions) in Engineering,
Occupational Therapy, Cytotechnology and Medical Technology. The historic campus has recently received more
than $50 million in improvements, including the state-of-the-art Parker Science Building, the 155,000-square foot
Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center, the Abraham Lincoln residence hall built to LEED silver certification and the

The Director of Development will play a central role in designing and
implementing a fundraising strategy for the Association’s centennial
anniversary. The Director also is responsible for maintaining fundraising
priorities related to the Leadership Fund for Liberal Education, seeking
and managing sponsorships of meetings and conferences, and coordinating
