The University of Southern California is honored to announce the largest naming gift in the
history of higher education for a college of letters, arts and sciences. This unprecedented
investment by Dana and David Dornsife of $200 million in unrestricted endowment is
the largest single gift in USC’s history, and will provide an enduring foundation of support
for faculty and students in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. The College of
Letters, Arts and Sciences is the largest, oldest, and most diverse of all the USC schools,
comprising 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students, 784 faculty, 634 staff, 33 academic
departments, and 31 research centers and institutes. We are proud and grateful that the
heart of the university will forever bear the name USC Dana and David Dornsife College
of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
