The nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, Autism Speaks
is working to change the future of those who struggle with autism.
Autism Speaks uses Blackbaud Sphere® and Friends Asking Friends® to manage its Walk Now for
Autism Speaks event, which is one of the nation’s top fundraising events and raises more than half of the
organization’s fundraising revenue. Friends Asking Friends enables participants to become successful
social fundraisers using email, web, social, and mobile tools to connect with friends and family. Now,
the organization is using Blackbaud to better integrate their email, peer-to-peer, social media, web, and
advocacy efforts to engage constituents in unique ways. In fact, their recent “Light It Up Blue” campaign
brought in almost 70,000 new participants to the organization.
