direct, and coordinate alumni activities for the Alumni Association;
provide support in programming for the Office of Alumni Programs;

professional societies. Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree; five
years of experience in alumni programs, fund raising, marketing, or
public relations or a major administrative position that has a primary
emphasis in one of these areas. Preferred qualifications: degree from
Ball State University; three years of management experience leading
a team.

Associate Dean of Development to:
• Develop and implement all fundraising strategies and
activities to carry forward the vision and priorities of the school
in collaboration with the Dean, faculty and the larger Johns
Hopkins External Affairs and Development organization.
• Provide strategic leadership for a staff of 13 (including 6 major
gift officers deployed within the three SAIS campuses) in the
school’s Development and Alumni Relations program.
• Plan and execute the school’s next comprehensive capital
campaign.
• Manage a portfolio of top donor relationships and provide
overall strategic leadership for the Dean’s fundraising
priorities.

Director of Major Gifts
Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the
Director of Major Gifts is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and
stewarding graduates and friends of the University to meet short
and long term fundraising objectives of both the University and
designated Colleges. Additional responsibilities include organizing
and planning fund raising initiatives targeting major donors, alumni
and friends of the University.
Position requires Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
or university and a minimum of five years’ experience as a
development professional; demonstrated and proven track record
for achieving aggressive goals at the major gift level; excellent
interpersonal, communication, presentation and networking skills;
demonstrated ability to facilitate collaboration while working as a
part of the Advancement team; Banner Advance (or other similar
database) knowledge and a driver’s license valid in New Jersey for
travel throughout the tri-state area.
